What is Acu-Point?
Acu-point includes the fundamental principle of Chinese philosophy which is the concept of yin and yang combined with the Five Elemental Theory. The yin and yang are two opposites that illustrate the aspects of life. The five elements are made up of earth, metal, water, wood and fire. Each element corresponds to an aspect of the body (i.e. the organs, senses, tissues and emotions) and to the aspects of nature (i.e. direction, season, color and climate.) The human like all matter is made up of the qualities from the five elements and the yin / yang.
Along with the principles of these theories, there are twelve meridians. The ancient Chinese discovered subtle energy in the body that cannot be seen, felt or found with the senses. The twelve meridians travel in the human body and connect everything in the body (teeth, organs, tissues, etc.) On these meridians are pools of energy (aka acu-point). When an acu-point becomes stagnant or blocked, dis-ease can set in.
In a session, both finger and crystal pressure may be used to release energetic blockages to stimulate the meridian system and re-balances the yin and yang to restore wellness.
